Where to stay

Hotels near Río Claro: where to stay by the canyon

Río Claro is not a town: it is a marble canyon about 15 to 25 minutes from Doradal along the highway (km 152). Places to stay are scattered across the countryside, so it pays to know which one is where before booking.

The options, one by one

Los Colores Ecoparque is the largest in the area, with pools, a spa and its own canyon tours. Glamping Río Claro has a pool with a view and a hot tub, aimed at couples. Cabaña Campestre en Río Claro is a glamping-style tent in La Mesa Norte with very few reviews so far. The Rio Claro Reserva Natural listing on Booking is placed in San Francisco; the official lodge, El Refugio, is booked direct at rioclaro.co.

Before choosing, decide what you want to do there: the Río Claro guide, rafting and the caves. If the experience matters more than the exact spot, there are more options in glamping and cabins.

How the list was built

Only places whose listing puts them in the Río Claro area, not in Doradal, are included. There are four and they differ a lot: an eco park with 607 Booking.com reviews (Los Colores, 8.7), a glamping and two options with very few reviews (7 and 6).

With so few reviews, the score of those two tells you little: check the photos and the distance to the canyon on the map.
