2. Río Claro Canyon Nature Reserve

A marble canyon with crystal-clear water at km 152 of the highway, 15-25 minutes from Doradal. Swim, hike, zip-line and go birdwatching. Río Claro guide.

3. Rafting on the Río Claro

Beginner-friendly rapids (low to medium) ending between marble walls. Prices and what to expect.

4. Caves: Cóndor and Guácharos (oilbird) caves

5. La Aldea, the "Colombian Santorini"

A Doradal neighborhood built in the 1980s in Cycladic style: white houses, blue domes and cobbled lanes. Best at sunset. Colombian Santorini guide.

6. Doradal village

Where almost every traveler sleeps: bus station, restaurants and the region's biggest choice of hotels. Get to know Doradal, then see where to eat.

7. Puerto Triunfo riverfront (Malecón)

In the municipal seat, a promenade on the Magdalena River with restaurants and viewpoints. How to visit.

8. San Juan and Bocatoma waterfalls

According to the Puerto Triunfo town hall, the San Juan waterfall (about 15 m, near Doradal) and Bocatoma waterfall (about 25 m, in Estación Cocorná) are good for rappelling and hiking. Go with a local guide. Trails are not always signposted.
