Best time to visit
The driest months are June, July and August and, to a lesser extent, December-February. For Río Claro, avoid the rain peaks (March-April and October-November), when the river rises and rafting or the caves can be suspended. At Hacienda Nápoles, rain usually falls in the afternoon: arrive at opening time and follow our one-day plan.
What to pack
- Light clothes, a cap, sunscreen and insect repellent. In this heat a hotel with a pool is worth it.
- Swimwear (water parks, pools, Río Claro).
- A rain jacket or small umbrella and shoes that can get wet.
